OUR STORY
KOH was created by Dusty James Bolyard, born and raised in grant county Dusty brings 21 years of hair expertise to Soap Lake. After traveling the world doing hair and makeup for celebrities, film and commercials he decided to move back to his roots and provide his vast knowelge and expertise to his home town community.
We are a small 3 chair boutique salon in the heart of Soap Lake WA also known as Smokiam. We strive to provide vegan, cruelty free, organic and botanical based products. Each line we carry is carefully selected for its company practices and ingredients used. As the industry and it's offerings change so do we. We are always on the look out for the next best thing is sustainable hair care.
We carry Oway Organics, Evo Hair, O&M and R + Co. These company's value clean ingredients, zero parabens, zero SLS's and use high grade recyclable materials.
Our Color is low ammonia through Davines and Paul Mitchell. Davines is currently the leader in the market for most organic material used in it's color line. A note to color clients, (we carry both organic and non organic color lines, as we cannot achieve every desired outcome with just organic color due to it's gentle nature. Please specify if you want only organic color).

Dusty has over 21 years of experience in the hair and makeup industry, he's trained with Vidal Sassoon, Bumble and Bumble, Loreal Professional, Crew, John Paul Mitchell Systems and has worked on celebrities, film, and editorial. He specializes in precision cutting, blondes, unicorn hair and "lived in" hair color. Dusty is the owner of KOH salon and Dusty James Bolyard Hair and Makeup.
